Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an ancient art of healing rediscovered in the 1890's by Dr. Mikao Usui. Literally translated, Reiki means "universal life energy."
During a healing session I gently lay my hands on your body to enable healing energy "the universal life energy" to flow into your body. "Seeing is believing" many people say, but in Reiki "feeling is believing." The sessions last between 40 to 90 minutes. One session will help immediately. To treat certain conditions it is recommended to do four sessions in a row and 6 more in weekly intervals.
Reiki soothes and nourishes, it relieves tension (physical and emotional), it deeply relaxes, it revives, it clears, it heals. It brings back balance in situations such as stress, disease, before and after surgery, or in states of mental imbalance. It provides support in periods of transition. Among other things it brings joy into the process of birthing and peace into the process of dying.
It also helps to find balance in situations like major decision making. It brings you to the place of inner peace, where decisions are best made. Being balanced, the energy flows freely, leaving you energized, and in a healthier state of mind, body and spirit.
Reiki training includes being "initiated" or "attuned" by a Reiki master.
There are Reiki I and Reiki II attunements and the Reiki master level. I provide all of these attunements.
I invite you to share this experience with me.
I am grateful to my teachers:
GABRIELE NAU, who introduced me to Reiki,
LORE MASSAR, my Reikimaster for Reiki I and Reiki II,
SOLVEIG IMLAU, my Reikimaster for the Master Attunement.
I also thank DAVID HEDELMAN and PAT HEDELMAN who works together with me here in the Southern Oregon region.
If you are looking for a Reiki experience (either a session or an attunement) in the greater outdoors of Southern Oregon you are welcome to stay at Chinook Aerie Retreat Center, www.workingwinds.com
